Subscriptions and the free trial

What it costs. Outgrow Yearly is $49.99 a year and Outgrow Monthly is $9.99 a month, both after a 3-day free trial. Prices are in US dollars and may vary by region.

Cancelling. Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are cancelled in your Apple ID settings, not in the app: open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Outgrow, and tap Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or the current period and you will not be charged again. Everything you have logged stays on your phone.

Refunds. Apple handles all payments and refunds; we cannot issue one directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

New phone. Sign in to the same Apple ID and tap Restore purchases on the plan screen or in Settings. Your subscription follows your Apple ID; the data you logged stays on the old phone unless you restored a backup.

Your data

Where it lives. Your quit date, your log, your reasons, your notes and your coach conversation are stored on your phone. Your questionnaire answers never leave it. The privacy policy says exactly what goes where.

Deleting it. Delete the app and everything it stored goes with it. If you want us to delete anything on our side (your anonymous identifier and its purchase record), email us from the address above and we will confirm when it is done.

The coach

The coach answers questions about quitting and nothing else. Its replies are written by an automated model and can be wrong. It is not medical advice, and it needs a connection; every other tool in the app works offline. There is a daily message limit; it resets at midnight, your local time.

Something is wrong

Tell us what you tapped, what you expected, and what happened, and the model of your iPhone if you know it. A screenshot helps. If the app will not open at all, restart the phone first; it fixes more than it should.

Outgrow is not medical advice and cannot help in an emergency. Contact your local emergency services or a crisis line straight away. In the United States, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. If you drink heavily every day, talk to a doctor before stopping suddenly.
